Growing up in Canton, Georgia, Kailyn developed a great admiration for the feeling of community and the ways in which people can come together in support of one another. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi State University in 2022. After graduating, Kailyn moved to Greenville, South Carolina and has spent the last several years immersed in the civil side of the legal field gaining experience in advocacy, problem-solving, and navigating complex systems. Through those experiences, she came to connect with her passion for advocacy and the desire to help create a world in which opportunity is accessible to everyone.
This adoration for community and advocacy ultimately led Kailyn to pursue her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of South Carolina. Through this program, she now supports the Student DREAMers Alliance and Hispanic Alliance as an MSW intern and is thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with those around her, learn from her experience, and contribute to the place she calls home in an intentional way.
Kailyn is a full-time Legal Assistant specializing in intellectual property and intellectual property litigation. When she is not at the office, Kailyn enjoys spending her free time with friends and her two cats, exploring local farmer’s markets and bookshops, and reading any book she can get her hands on. Kailyn loves exploring Greenville and finding hidden local gems.
