Position Summary
The Bellman/Valet is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for guests by providing courteous assistance with luggage, valet parking, and transportation needs. This role requires a service-oriented individual who anticipates guest needs, ensures safe handling of vehicles, and upholds the standards of the Westin Poinsett Greenville.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Luggage Assistance

Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival and departure.

Assist with luggage, packages, and personal items; deliver promptly to guest rooms.

Provide directions, recommendations, and general information about the hotel and local area.

Escort guests to rooms and explain hotel amenities, services, and features.
Valet Parking & Vehicle Handling

Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles, following hotel and insurance guidelines.

Maintain a professional, careful approach when driving and handling vehicles of all types.

Keep valet area organized, safe, and clear of hazards.

Monitor vehicle keys, valet tickets, and maintain accurate records.
Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with Front Desk, Concierge, and Bell services to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Respond promptly to guest requests and relay information to appropriate departments.

Assist with group arrivals, departures, and special events.
Other Duties
-
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the lobby, entrance, and bell stand.

Handle deliveries, storage, and retrieval of guest items (packages, luggage, etc.).

Adhere to all safety, security, and brand standards.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous hospitality, customer service, or valet experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional appearance and positive, service-oriented attitude.

Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry luggage (up to 75 lbs.) for extended periods.
Work Environment

Position requires working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
