Valentina Izurieta is a driven professional of Colombian descent, born in Providence, Rhode Island and raised in Greer, South Carolina. Valentina graduated from Riverside High School in 2020 and throughout her high school years, she demonstrated her commitment to community service and advocacy. She served as an intern for Launch GVL, a program aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the Greenville area, and also interned with the Hispanic Alliance in 2022, where she focused on initiatives supporting the Hispanic community.
In May 2024, Valentina graduated from the University of South Carolina, majoring in Public Health and minoring in Social Media and Mass Communications. Her academic pursuits reflect her passion for improving community health and well-being.
Beyond her academic endeavors, Valentina remains deeply involved in community service and maintains strong connections within her community. Valentina’s dedication to advocacy and community engagement underscores her commitment to making a positive impact wherever she goes. She now serves as our Programs and Operations Coordinator and wishes to continue her ongoing compassionate and equitable work.
