We stand for compassion, dignity, and community.

15 Years. One Mission.

Countless Lives Changed.

We’re celebrating our Quinceañera—and we need your help to finish strong.

From a Circle to a Table: Our Beginning

Fifteen years ago, a small group of courageous, visionary individuals came together around a simple but powerful idea: that by working together across cultures, they could create lasting change—not just for the Hispanic community, but for the entire Upstate.

They didn’t have a blueprint. What they had was heart, purpose, and an unshakable belief in the power of connection. From that grassroots effort, the Hispanic Alliance was born.

In 2008, when an ICE raid at Columbia Farms devastated 330+ immigrant families, that small circle mobilized a community-wide humanitarian response. They coordinated legal support, aid, and advocacy for affected families—proving that collective action could create real change.

This year, we honor the servant leaders who planted seeds for a future they would not fully see. Those early leaders carried the heavy burden of representing a growing community, breaking down barriers, and lifting up others along the way. Their courage, sacrifice, and belief in a more inclusive South Carolina laid the foundation for the vibrant, statewide network we are proud to continue building.

This is not just a milestone—it is a movement. A movement of people, united across sectors and identities, who believe in dignity, inclusion, and the transformational power of service.

Why Your Gift Matters Right Now

Across South Carolina, Hispanic and immigrant families face a moment of profound uncertainty.

In the last six months alone, our bilingual Request for Assistance line has seen a 46% increase in calls from families seeking guidance on their legal rights, immigration options, and how to prepare for an uncertain future.

These are not statistics. These are your neighbors. Your coworkers. The families whose children sit next to yours in class.

For 15 years, Hispanic Alliance has earned the trust of South Carolina’s Hispanic community—nearly 370,000 individuals—by showing up consistently, speaking their language, understanding their culture, and never backing down from our commitment to dignity, equity, and belonging.

Your gift provides hope & trust.

Recognizing Servant Leadership

We are proud to recognize the members of our 15th Anniversary Steering Committee — a dedicated group of community leaders and visionaries who have been instrumental in shaping this milestone year. From day one, this committee has served as both a strategic compass and creative engine, guiding the planning, storytelling, and celebration of our 15 years of impact. Their collaboration with our staff and board has ensured that this anniversary honors our past while boldly casting a vision for our future.

Most importantly, they are helping us use this anniversary not just as a look back—but as a springboard forward, inspiring even greater connection, equity, and opportunity for the years ahead.
