Hispanic Alliance is excited to introduce our 6th class of Student DREAMers Alliance (SDA) in Greenville and the Inaugural Class of SDA in Charleston, South Carolina.
A strategic partnership between three non-profit organizations and two universities has received a grant award of $1.5 million dollars from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Office of Minority Health (OMH). The collaboration, named the Equity in Public Health Initiative (EPHI), aims to improve the health of Black and Hispanic individuals living in Greenville County by addressing policies and practices that contribute to structural racism and perpetuate health inequities.
On October 9 -11, 2022, we hosted Puerto Rican artist, Juan Pablo Vizcaino Cortijo for an artist residency, culminating in a celebration of culture at Zen on South Main Street in the heart of vibrant Greenville.
After a grueling year in 2020 addressing the critical needs in our community surrounding the pandemic, the Hispanic Alliance, like all of us, hoped things would get back to a sense of “normal”.
The Hispanic Alliance began as a grassroots organization of collective volunteer endeavor. In 2021, volunteers remain the center of our community, driving the upstate forward to a bright & inclusive future.
Hispanic Alliance is proud to have fostered an inclusive community dialogue about our own transformation as people and as a community by showcasing the art of a world-renowned Mexican artist in the heart of Downtown Greenville.
On September 27, Hispanic Alliance hosted a closing ceremony for Wings of the City. Many community leaders and elected officials were in attendance, including Russell Stall, a member of the Greenville City Council and the Hispanic Alliance Board of Directors.
