Teamsters Joint Council #9 is a coalition of four (4) Local Unions that cover North and South Carolina. Key Job Responsibilities:

-Motivating individual workers and groups of workers to take action
-Develop and teach organizing skills to member organizers
-Conducting individual and group meetings with workers
-Work to involve community allies in organizing campaigns
Qualifications:
-Prior union organizing experience preferred or other organizing experience, political/community, considered
-Sharp communication skills
-Strong writing and computer skills
-Ability to work independently, solve problems, manage time and priorities
-Willingness to work long hours and weekends when necessary
-Willingness to to conduct house visits; canvassing and site visits
-Must posses a valid drivers license
-Must be able to work effectively in team settings
-Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Bilingual organizers needed.
