Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis
  • Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes
  • Utilize motivational interviewing and other evidence-based approaches to promote behavioral change and recovery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive case management plans tailored to each patient’s needs
  • Maintain accurate and HIPAA-compliant medical documentation, including progress notes and treatment records using ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment protocols and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts
  • Engage in telehealth services to expand access to care for patients in various settings, ensuring seamless delivery of mental health services
  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina practice
  • Proven experience in clinical counseling with a focus on mental health disorders such as PTSD, grief, addiction, or developmental disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management strategies
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and HIPAA regulations for confidential patient information
  • Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings with a diverse patient population
  • Bilingual English Spanish (required)
