Conestee Nature Preserve has internships available for high schoolers. They also have ongoing research opportunities for any adults or students from ages 16+ to participate in all over the preserve (bird monitoring, native plant restoration, invasive removal, deer population monitoring, etc). AHAM - Scholarship alerts for seniors in high school
AHAM has opened their scholarship process for Hispanic descent high school seniors in the Upstate. Scholarship applications are due March 31st!
VITA is now taking appointments to file your taxes!
VITA is now taking appointments to file your taxes! This United Way program provides free income tax preparation assistance to individuals and families with a household income of $60,000 a year or less.

VITA is also supporting individuals with obtaining their ITIN in order to file their taxes at no cost, including undocumented community members. You must be able to answer a few questions to check if you are eligible. To do so please contact Debbra Alvarado at or 864-256-0760. Limited spots available and appointments are required
Cultivating Lifelong Well-Being
Molina Healthcare and Foothills Community Health Care are hosting a Community Easter Ham Drive-Thru Giveaway on Saturday, March 30th from 9 AM – 11 AM at the West Side Community Center in Anderson, SC. This is a first come, first serve event and will be providing 1 frozen ham per car (limit of 2 frozen hams per car with proof of separate home addresses). SC THRIVE will also be on-site providing Medicaid Renewal Assistance.

USCIS fees to change on April 1st 2024
Effective April 1st of this year, several applications from USCIS will see a change including increased fees, expanded fee exemptions, and changes to fee waiver policy. The Immigrant Legal Resource Center has created a comprehensive guide with new rules and filing fees.
Certificates with Center for Innovative Leadership
On March 21, the Center for Innovative Leadership is hosting an informational webinar about UX (user experience) and UI certificates. Learn more about the curriculum and discover why it’s a great time to get into UX design and how it can shape user experiences, click here to register.
