Celebrating

Culture

with iliana Rose at Más Salsa

"I'm so grateful to know that Hispanic culture is alive in Greenville!"

Culture is the lifeblood of our communities, and the Hispanic Alliance celebrates the rich and diverse cultural heritage of every individual we serve. We believe that diversity is our strength, a vibrant tapestry that paints a more colorful future for all.

In September, we hosted the first ever Más Salsa – a collaborative initiative, featuring the music talents of the iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band, that transcends cultures to become a community celebration. Más Salsa fosters unity and understanding.

“Más Salsa was such a beautiful night,” Iliana recalls, painting a vivid picture of a community coming together through music, dance, and cultural exchange.

The event, fueled by the Hispanic Alliance’s commitment to fostering cultural connections, goes beyond mere entertainment—it’s a testament to the transformative power of cultural celebration.

Serving

Relentlessly

with Jessica Wallace

"The way that we have come together as a community — it's incredible!"

Jessica Wallace, the chair of the Legal Team of the Hispanic Alliance is a shining example of this work. Having joined the Legal Team as a volunteer in 2013, Jessica is a steady presence of leadership and compassion.

While she helps individuals navigate their journeys of immigration, Jessica drives collaboration among legal experts in Greenville County, which in turn forges equality and inclusion for those new to South Carolina.

Over many years of service, she has built trust with our community and is a champion for the Hispanic Alliance cause – putting the needs of individuals first – always.

In the spirit of Prosperando Juntos, we stand united for a brighter tomorrow, where the collective commitment to prosperity, culture, and transformation improves the quality of life for every South Carolinian.

An Ecosystem

Of Prosperity

with SDA alumna, Ariana H.

“I want to be the first generation in my family to ever go to college.”

“Empathetic, community, and family.”

To Ariana, these words encapsulate the unique environment the Hispanic Alliance provides to Hispanic youth through the Student DREAMers Alliance (SDA), where students learn and grow together.

At the core of our mission lies the unwavering commitment to elevate the lives of individuals who call South Carolina their home. We believe that prosperity knows no bounds, and it is this belief that fuels our dedication to empowering every member of our community.

Ariana is a shining example of a young person empowered with the tools, resources, and inspiration she needs to craft a bright future. On the path to graduate from Carolina High School in Spring 2024, Ariana is currently interning with the Hispanic Alliance, gaining valuable, real-world experience serving our community.

Empowering

DREAMers

with SDA Mentor, Pedro Escobar

“It was a heartwarming opportunity to meet bright, ambitious individuals and understand the profound impact the SDA is poised to have on our community.”

We believe that prosperity knows no bounds, and it is this belief that fuels our dedication to empowering every member of our community.

When we find individuals who have principles that align with our organizational values, the impact is amplified. Meet Pedro Escobar, a first-generation American and successful entrepreneur, who is making a profound impact through mentorship in the Student DREAMers Alliance. Born of Honduran immigrants, Pedro understands the challenges faced by aspiring young Hispanic students.
