Job Description

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the College of Arts and Sciences at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
Strategic Leadership- Vision & Strategic Planning: Develop a five-year vision for unit to include educational programs, academic services and/or student service offerings, staffing-facilities needs, and projected budget. Provide a time line and proposed outline for implementation and development.

Oversee the coordination of personnel, curriculum, schedules, resources and data to meet the needs of the division and enhance the educational effectiveness of programs and services.
Participate in strategic and long-range instructional planning for the college.
Personnel & Resources- Conduct annual & bi-annual performance assessment for direct reports utilizing data and input provided by employee. Also conduct classroom evaluations of selected faculty members annually.

Develops individualized faculty improvement plans as needed based upon faculty rating by students, student retention, identified strengths and weaknesses, and goals for enhancing performance

Ensure adjunct and dual enrollment in-class observation take place and are documented with feedback to instructors. Recruit and develop adjunct faculty pools.
Student Success Data Analysis & Planning- Assess and develop division/department goals for retention, graduation, & progression rates. Monitor dashboard and work towards established goals.
Review gateway course success and individual course success rates per department and instructor. Establish goals with each department on an annual basis in alignment with college goals.

Assess institutional data regarding enrollment and course offerings with schedule mix of day, evening and weekend as well as in-class, hybrid and distance learning options to meet student needs and support student success.
Review course & program enrollments and strategize opportunities to grow low enrollment programs and scale up high enrollment programs.

Lead weekly 4DX huddles with all team leaders in the school, provide feedback on proposed WIG’s, review and approve proposed leads, keep your commitments.

Skills & Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must hold an earned master’s or doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution in a discipline within the School of Art and Sciences, and have a distinguished record of teaching and creative accomplishments. Additionally, successful experience as a full-time faculty member for a minimum of five years is required. Successful experience as a college/university administrator in a leadership role for a minimum of three years is also required (i.e. dean, program director, department head or chair, or program coordinator). Evidence of collaborative data-driven decision-making, consensus building, and teamwork are required for the School’s next leader.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven academic leader with an earned doctorate with emphasis on higher education leadership and teaching and learning and a vibrant leadership style with documented results evidencing commitment to service excellence and success for students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.
