SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Director of Enrollment Strategies, the program assistant for Admissions provides excellent stakeholder service to all guests of the SCGSAH and the Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation. Coordinates participants in campus visits, including guests, employees, and student ambassadors. • Receives and processes financial assistance applications. • Supports major campus and departmental events, including recruitment days, openings and closings of programs, etc. • Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:  Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm with occasional evenings and weekends.  

 

LOCATION:  South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, Greenville, SC

 

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:  A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required program experience. The successful candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (G Suite). The successful candidate will have excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.

 

PREFERRED:  A bachelor’s degree and work experience in a boarding school, high school, or collegiate environment. Previous experience in admissions or student recruitment is preferred. Experience with Blackbaud Enrollment Management is preferred. Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITES: Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment;  Knowledge of various types of filing systems;  Knowledge of grammatical rules and clerical formats;  Ability to deal with a diverse population including students, parents, and faculty in handling inquiries and communicating information;  Ability to maintain and establish good working relationships with staff members and the general public: Must be able to hear, speak audibly, walk, and lift up to 35 lbs., regularly. Must be able to sit at an assigned workspace for extended periods. Must have a valid driver’s license
