OVERARCHING GOAL OF THE POST-SECONDARY & ADULT ED SUB-COMMITTEE:
- Increase high school graduation rate for Hispanic youth.
- Build collaborations with local institutions of higher education to increase Hispanic enrollment and graduation.
OBJECTIVES OF THE POST-SECONDARY & ADULT EDUCATION SUBCOMMITTEE:
The Post-Secondary and Adult Education Sub-Committee is made up of various leaders in the field of Higher Education, Adult Education and community members who are interested in advancing and promoting educational opportunities in the Hispanic community. Our objectives are to facilitate access to these educational opportunities by working in partnership with existing educational institutions, programs and services, to gauge the educational needs of the community and identify areas of disparity through open community forums and to develop and institute educational programs to fill educational voids in the Hispanic community.
The Post-Secondary and Adult Education Sub-Committee has developed a strategy to replicate Greenville Tech model at other institutions—advocating for greater access to post-secondary education for Hispanic youth and DACA students.
